Math OR Reading: $165

Math AND Reading: $300

Registration Fee: $50/student

There are no long-term contracts, only month to month.

FAQs

At what age can my student start attending?
  • We work with students aged four and up who are able to focus for 10-15 minutes.
How many times a week will my student come to the center and for how long is each visit?
  • Most students attend twice a week for center visits and complete Gideon assignments at home the other days. However, you can come once a week or request extra classes for an additional fee.
  • Each center visit is typically 30 minutes per subject to do individual daily assignments, complete any old corrections, and review new material. A Gideon instructor will be at the table with the students to assist as needed. Most students will be seated with a 3:1 student to teacher ratio.
What level of work will my student be doing?
  • During the free placement evaluation, we will find a ‘just right’ point in the Gideon curriculum based on what skills your student shows as mastered in order to fill any holes and gaps in his foundation.   • Our goal is to build confidence through mastery with progress right from the start to encourage focus and concentration.
Does Gideon work with students with learning differences such as dyslexia?
  • Yes, the Gideon program works well for most students, including those with learning differences. While school must continue on its schedule, we have the luxury of time to allow the student to set the pace and do any extra practice needed to truly master each level. If your student has dyslexia, read THIS to find out why Gideon is a good solution.
Does Gideon work with students with special needs such as autism?
  • Yes, the Gideon program works with many special needs students. We can evaluate further if Gideon is a good fit when we meet your student during the free placement evaluation.

My son was really struggling with school. I decided to give Gideon a try and I am so glad we did. They tested him first to see where he was. They went over his good qualities and where he was struggling. They knew exactly where to start him and he has been thriving ever since. Gideon Math & Reading is a great facility and the owner is great with Kids. My daughter was behind in reading and we enrolled her in Gideon and after a couple weeks, her reading and comprehension levels increased. I'm a graduate student that works for Gideon. Gideon is a great business to not only work for but also invest in your childrens' future. They have great flexible hours if you would like to be employed by them and they always treat you kindly and fair.They have a wide variety of tutors for younger children all the way up to more difficult coursework like Calculus and Chemistry. The people who work there are very understanding to different needs of individuals. The tutors I met there really seemed to enjoy what they were doing and were very patient with trying to teach conceptually different concepts.Overall 5/5 business to not only work for but also their high standards service they provide.

I am forever grateful to the Gideon team for their devotion and consistency towards my daughter. I moved my kid from Kumon to Gideon years ago and stayed with it at least 2 years. The service here is more valuable than Kumon as I experienced, the kids can have more time learning from the teachers and the communication is much more efficient between the instructors and the parents. The materials have more variety of formats than what Kumon provided for learning and practice. It's kind of an environment where parents feel comfortable to work with if you want, while at Kumon we felt the parents are separated and we actually picked up and dropped off kids & homework twice a week that's all we could get involved, and maybe you have to teach your child as an instructor at home which I believe a lot of of friends whom I know did that. After investigation I moved to Gideon and never looked back since then.

It’s a good place for students to study quiet and very organized . They teach all grade level. Teacher are very nice very pleasant. You can have group lesson or one on one lesson.and help my school work .i feel like I enjoy study more when I’m at Gideon.

Gideon is designed to help students succeed in school. The tutors are patient and teach based on the needs of each student since not every student learns the same way. They also make sure their students understand each concept to the best of their ability before moving them on to a new concept.

Gideon is a wonderful service that helps students of all ages improve their grades in school as well as their SAT/ACT test scores! Gideon offers tutoring across all subjects, chess club, and supplemental work over the summer. The workers are well-qualified and very patient. I would highly recommend this for anyone wanting their child to do well!

We have been with Gideon since a year now, my daughter has extremely improved in her reading, struggling with phonic sounds to now reading her grade level books. That's huge! Besides, reading she improved her math skills as well - they don't move kids forward in lessons unless and until they completely learn things in and out and this has helped my daughter a lot.Highly recommend Gideon!

Gideon provides an individualized program based on a student's progress. Both reading and math are taught step-by-step. Phonics and spelling are followed by comprehension, vocabulary building and test taking skills. Basic math facts, advanced computation, fractions and problem solving are practiced as students progress through the skills to algebra and geometry.

Meet Sara, owner and director of Gideon Math and Reading Center in Little Rock, AR! Sara is dedicated to providing the best math and reading programs in Little Rock. Sara has experience in IT project management from her career and knows the importance of building solid math and reading foundations. She has taken her passion for education and poured it into her learning center in Little Rock. Her son was enrolled in Gideon programs for many years.
